Terms & Conditions
Scope of Work
All works will be carried out in accordance with the agreed quotation, drawings, and specifications. Any additional works or changes must be agreed in writing and may incur additional costs.
Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days. Prices may be subject to change due to increases in material costs, labour, or unforeseen site conditions.
Payments
- A deposit of [X%] is required before commencement
- Progress payments will be invoiced at agreed stages
- Final payment is due upon completion
Late payments may result in:
- Suspension of work
- Interest charges in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
Variations
Any changes to the agreed works must be confirmed in writing. Verbal agreements are not binding.
Programme & Delays
Estimated timelines are provided in good faith. We are not liable for delays caused by:
- Weather conditions
- Supply chain issues
- Client delays or changes
- Site access issues
- Unforeseen structural or ground conditions
Client Responsibilities
The client must ensure:
- All necessary permissions and approvals are obtained
- Safe and clear access to site
- Utilities are available where required
Unforeseen Works
If hidden defects or structural issues are discovered, we will notify the client and provide a revised cost before proceeding.
Materials & Ownership
All materials remain our property until full payment is received.
Subcontractors
We reserve the right to use qualified subcontractors to complete works.
Liability
We maintain appropriate insurance. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing defects
- Client-supplied materials
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Damage caused by third parties
Warranty
We provide a workmanship guarantee of [6 months], excluding:
- Wear and tear
- Misuse or lack of maintenance
- External factors beyond our control
Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend works for non-payment. Either party may terminate with written notice. The client must pay for all work completed and materials ordered.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes should first be resolved through negotiation or mediation before legal action.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
